Notes: Learn Something Useful Every Day

Putting this these blog posts together has forced me to start dealing with a number of issues I have with my site, and I’ve ended up learning a couple new things.

But Brian wasn’t really talking about digital things. He was talking about other things. For him, woodworking is important. I feel the same way whenever I take time to fix things around the house, or, as in the last couple of weeks, I’m using a grinder to shape sandstone for our walk.

I heard a couple of complaints that this talk was too abstract or conceptual, but for me it was a welcome break from a couple of frantic talks. It was brain refreshment. You can see that my notes are limited, but these felt like little gems. Will definitely check out the book Clean Code and Cory Miller’s reading list.
